Yacine Bammou’s time at Nantes looks to be becoming to an end after the announcement the Ligue 1 side have bought a new striker, and are still in the market for another. The Morocco international has been linked with a move to England with Leeds United and Aston Villa in the past couple of weeks.

But Football Club have today reported the writing looks to be on the wall for Bammou at Nantes, and the French club will look to offload him if they can find a taker.

Yesterday it was confirmed Polish youngster Mariusz Stepiński had joined Nantes from Ruch Chorzow, but the club’s president Waldemar Kita is keen to bring in at least one more forward.

A possibility for Nantes is Medellin striker Leonardo Castro, following previous attempts to sign the player.

If Nantes can bring in Castro the chances of Bammou remaining with Nantes are low, and a move to the Championship seem his best option at the moment after Toulouse last week pulled out of the race for the 24-year-old.

Leeds United and Aston Villa are two clubs who have been showing an interest, with recent claims Nantes will listen to offers for the player.

Bammou is not in the long term plans of the Nantes coaching staff, and he may need to find a new club before the deadline.
