Aston Villa are the latest club to show an interest in Nantes forward Yacine Bammou, according to claims in the French media. The 24-year-old looks on the verge leaving the Ligue 1 club, and has also been linked with fellow Championship sides Leeds United and Wolverhampton Wanderers in the past week.
L’Equipe have revealed this morning that Bammou is no longer in the plans of Nantes coach René Girard, and the player is now considering leaving the club.
Aston Villa will be keen to bolster their attacking options this summer, and the Morocco international is a possible option.
However, despite the interest from the three English sides, Ligue 1 side Toulouse are also keen to sign Bammou, and may move in on the forward if their star striker Wissam Ben Yedder exits the club in this window.
Yedder has been linked with the likes of Marseille and Tottenham Hotspur in the past 2 seasons, and could finally move on this summer.
Bammou has spent his entire career playing in France, and after a brief spell in Nantes’ B team he made his debut for the senior team in 2014.
The striker has since made nearly 60 Ligue 1 appearances for the club, and also played for his country 3 times since making his debut in 2015.
