Aston Villa are ‘still there’ to sign Brighton & Hove Albion’s Yves Bissouma this summer, according to French journalist Fabrice Hawkins.
It’s been less than two days since Steven Gerrard’s side announced they have agreed a deal for Boubacar Kamara to join them on a free transfer, once his contract at Marseille expires on June 30th.
That, however, has not stopped Aston Villa looking at the Brighton & Hove Albion midfielder for next season.
Hawkins took to Twitter to explain that AS Monaco have identified Graham Potter’s man as a potential candidate to replace Aurélien Tchouaméni. The Frenchman is keen to leave the Ligue 1 side and is attracting interest from both Liverpool and Real Madrid.
The journalist claims that Monaco are in the process of selling Tchouaméni and therefore, are ‘thinking’ of the Mali international. He further claims the latter has received ‘several offers’ to leave Brighton & Hove Albion in the summer window.

Hawkins does not categorically state that Aston Villa are among the clubs to have made an offer for the 25-year-old. However, he explains the Villans are in the picture to acquire Bissouma’s services.
One to keep an eye on in the coming weeks to see if there are any fresh developments in this case.
