Aston Villa are one of the clubs in the picture to sign AS Roma’s Tammy Abraham.

That’s according to Corriere dello Sport, who say the Serie A side are hoping for Aston Villa or another English club to make an attempt to sign the 26-year-old this summer.

The Giallorossi want to sell those players who aren’t in their plans and the striker is included in this list.

Aston Villa’s interest in the former Chelsea man is backed up by ASRomaLive.it, and they say he could return to England this summer.

Chelsea are keen on signing Jhon Durán, and Aston Villa director Monchi is negotiating a €50m deal with the Blues for the 20-year-old Colombian.

If Durán were to be sold, the report says Monchi could launch an ‘assault’ to sign the Englishman. He spent the 2018/19 season on loan with Aston Villa, who were then in the Championship.

Abraham has ‘great memory’ of his time at Villa Park, where he managed 26 goals and three assists from 40 games, and he could return to his former club this summer.

It’s claimed the frontman is ‘close to returning to the Premier League’, where the ‘hottest track’ leads to Aston Villa, even though Tottenham Hotspur are after him.
