Aston Villa signed Jordan Veretout at the start of the season, but he is expected to leave the club this summer following their relegation to the Championship.
A week ago, French newspaper L’Equipe revealed Veretout doesn’t want to play in the Championship and is looking to return to France, or sign for any club in a top flight division.
Lille, Celta Vigo and Bournemouth have already contacted Aston Villa for Veretout, reports Get French Football News.
GFFN say there are no concrete offers made for the French midfielder yet, and it’s likely to drag on all transfer window.
The 23-year-old failed to make an impact at Villa Park, but found some breathing space under Remi Garde, and then found himself on the bench again following the sacking of the French manager.
The player has four years left on his contract, however, he doesn’t seem keen to see that out.
Aston Villa spent £7.5m on Veretout and would want to recoup most of the transfer fee paid to Nantes.
