Earlier this week, we saw the Italian media speaking of Aston Villa’s interest in Gerard Deulofeu from Udinese.
It was claimed that manager Unai Emery is a ‘great admirer’ of the winger, as he ‘always wanted him’ and could push for his signing this summer.
Now as Tutto Udinese writes about Deulofeu, they claim the Spaniard ‘could leave’ the Italian club at the end of the season.
It’s said Aston Villa ‘could attack’ the player soon, although they shall first wait and see more of the recovery from his injury.
Following a knee surgery, Deulofeu is not expected to show the same as last season, when he was a ‘protagonist’ at Udinese.
Still, his performances could be good enough to convince Aston Villa of making a move for him.
Before his injury, he already had three goals and seven assists in 18 appearances for the Serie A side this season.
The story does not say how much Udinese demand to let Deulofeu move in the summer, but they do point out that his valuation will not be the same as it was a year ago.
Transfermarkt currently values him at €16m, which is a similar price to the one the Italian club paid to sign him in 2021.
