Andrea Cambiaso has been one of Juventus’ best players in Serie A this season.
The Italy international has shown quite a bit of versatility in midfield and in the backline, also scoring once and assisting once under manager Thiago Motta.
His qualities seem to have already caught the attention of clubs in England, with Aston Villa specifically being mentioned.
TuttoSport today report that Unai Emery’s side have been admiring the Italian for some time and came forward with an offer in the summer.
Aston Villa are said to have offered €35m for the Juve star but the move was ‘immediately blocked’ by the Old Lady. The Italian giants had no intention of delving into discussions for his sale.
As of now, Juve consider the 24-year-old as unsellable and he is a key part of their setup.
He agreed a new deal at the club some months ago and that was signed with the intention of keeping Premier League interest away.
There’s confidence Aston Villa don’t stand much of a chance should they return.
