Aston Villa is a great club and it’s great to play here, we did incredibly well this year and our hope, our goal, is to return to the Premier League and finish in the best way.”
Ahmed Elmohamady was also asked about the season Wolves have had, with Nuno Espirito Santo’s men getting plenty of attention around Europe: “They started the momentum great and held it. The promotion is well deserved, they’ve been at a high level throughout the season.”
Aston Villa will be hoping to follow their West Midland rivals Wolves to the big time when they face Fulham today at Wembley. Bruce’s side have already seen off Middlesbrough in the semi finals and Saturday’s game is likely to be a close encounter when third and fourth place come up against each other.
Wolves ensured their place in the top flight last month and they went on to pick up 99 points.
