Aston Villa appear to have an object of interest at FC Porto, having again sent an official to watch the club on Sunday.
The Premier League side have watched multiple Porto games recently and whilst it’s not entirely clear who has caught their eye, it looks clear that someone has, with O Jogo again reporting their presence.
That’s because Villa aren’t a club, such as Manchester United, who watch all the top Portuguese matches as a matter of course, so them turning up repeatedly could mean something.
On Sunday. they’ll have expected to see a tight match between Porto and Benfica but it ended up nothing like that. Porto, the home side, won the game 5-0, yet are still six points behind their rivals on the day.
Sporting lead the table, followed by Benfica, and then Porto.
Just like in Porto’s match against Arsenal, Galeno found the back of the net, with two of the five goals.
A Bola gave Galeno their highest rating at 9/10, and whilst links will inevitably be made with the attacker, it’s perhaps Alan Varela who could be the big Porto exit this summer.
The midfielder is just 22-years-of-age and it’s likely Premier League clubs will see a lot of potential for growth.
