When Oscar Garcia was asked to replace Christophe Galtier as Saint-Etienne’s manager, few fans knew what they were getting, but, so far, it’s all going rather well.

Winning their first three games, a 3-0 loss at the Parc des Princes followed by a home draw against Angers calmed the hype a little bit, but a few clubs are already taking notice of what the Catalan manager is capable of.

Pressure appears to be growing on Steve Bruce, who replaced Roberto Di Matteo midway through last season, and if what Sport are reporting on Thursday is true, Dr Tony Xia is already considering an alternative in case things don’t get much better.
