Developing nicely over the weekend, the story that Morgan Sanson could join Aston Villa is picking up pace.
The Villans have reportedly taken a strong interest in the Marseille midfielder, who will be sold at the right price, and the latest from France suggest they could very well get their man.
Le10 Sport are the ones providing the update, explaining the Premier League club have ‘accelerated’ in the last few hours, with ‘discussions now at a very advanced stage’.
It’s stated Marseille and Villa are working on a standard transfer for an amount ‘between €15-20m’, which is a far cry from what they wanted a few months ago.
However, their desire and need for a new striker has meant a sale of this amount could help them get the deal for Arkadiusz Milik over the line.
While this isn’t a done deal, Le10 explain it’s now up to Sanson to make a decision, and while he’s been linked with a move away from the south of France multiple times in the past, they point out ‘he’s never been closer to leaving Marseille’ than he is now.
