Fanatik report despite interest from Besiktas, Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger will not let Danny Welbeck leave the club in this transfer window.

The Turkish newspaper say the English striker is seen as good option for the Black Eagles, as they look to replace Cenk Tosun, but due to Wenger’s stance the chances of signing Welbeck are very slim at this stage.

With Arsenal selling Theo Walcott to Everton, and Alexis Sanchez on the verge of a move Manchester United it’s understandable Wenger won’t want to lose another forward, and subsequently the Premier League side will reject any offers for Welbeck.

It was recently reported in Turkey that Besiktas manager Senol Gunes is a fan of Welbeck and had identified him as a potential replacement for Tosun.

Welbeck’s season with Arsenal has been hampered by injury, but the England international has in recent weeks been getting games.

Besiktas have also been linked with other Premier League forwards in recent days, including Islam Slimani, Wilfried Bony, Javier Hernandez and Diafra Sakho.
