Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang is the big Arsenal transfer news right now, but not the only story.
Granted, the future of Chuba Akpom somewhat pales into insignificance, but it looks like the youngster is moving to Belgium.
The 21 year old is close to a move to Sint-Truidense Voetbalvereniging, better known as STVV, reports Belgian newspaper Het Belang van Limburg.
STVV have been very keen to bring in a striker before the end of the January window, and have plumped for Akpom.
Negotiations have been ongoing, and whilst everything isn’t finalised yet, talks with Arsenal on Sunday have helped to progress things.
Akpom has already been on five loans away from Arsenal over the past four years, with mixed success, with his last stint being at Brighton & Hove Albion as the club pushed for promotion.
The youngster has a contract with Arsenal until June 2019 and has made two substitute appearances this season in cup competitions. Arsenal will surely want to see some goals from Akpom if he does make another loan move, and he may find it easier in Belgian football.
