According to a claim in the Turkish media, Galatasaray are the latest Super Lig side to show interest in Arsenal defender Oleksandr Zinchenko and will look to make a move for him.
There’s a lot of excitement being pushed about the potential move with A Spor stating ‘Arsenal’s star is coming’ as part of their headline, which feels like something of a stretch.
The Ukrainian has seen his chances limited with the Gunners this season and was also recently linked with Gala’s local rivals Fenerbahce. The latter aspect may explain some of the excitement.
A Spor today report on Galatasaray’s pursuit for the Arsenal left back as the Turkish champions look to bolster their squad in this transfer window.
It’s claimed Zinchenko is on the agenda of the Istanbul club, and that they want to take advantage of his situation at the Emirates.
The Turkish media outlet say Galatasaray are ready to make an approach for the Ukraine international and will make contract with Arsenal soon.
Only last week we covered reports from Turkey which stated Fenerbahce were looking to come in for Zinchenko, with Jose Mourinho hoping to solve his problems at left back.
The Istanbul giants sold Ferdi Kadıoğlu to Brighton & Hove Albion in the summer and with a long-term injury to Jayden Oosterwolde, the Portuguese coach needs to address this position.
Zinchenko has made just seven appearances in the Premier League this season and is contracted to the London club until June 2026.
Galatasaray fans would obviously love to see their club beat Fenerbahce to the Arsenal player.
