After one season at Arsenal, Lucas Torreira has been repeatedly linked with a move to AC Milan over the past week.

The midfielder is on international duty with Uruguay for the 2019 Copa America and while speaking to journalists on Wednesday, the 23-year-old stressed he is “happy to be part of Arsenal.”

Late last night, Tutto Mercato Web brought an update about the Uruguay international and they state he hasn’t asked to leave his current employer so far.

The Gunners, for their part, would have demanded €50m to part ways with the former Sampdoria man.

However, Milan wanted to table an proposal of €5m for a two-year loan deal and then make his transfer permanent.

The offer was deemed ‘too low’ by Unai Emery’s side as they wanted €50m up front so they can bet on Giovani Lo Celso of Real Betis and Real Madrid’s Dani Ceballos.

With Aaron Ramsey leaving as a free agent and with Torreira set to stay, the report states ‘one of’ Lo Celso or Ceballos ‘can arrive’ at the Emirates.

TMW doesn’t go over potential fees for either of the players or explain how Arsenal will get the funds.
