Last night we brought you an update from Italy that suggested Arsenal were closing in on a new centre back.
The journalist claimed Arsenal had agreed on personal terms with Juventus’ Daniele Rugani, a player they’ve been linked for more than four years.
He had reportedly agreed on a deal which would see him earn €4m a year, and now the Gunners were going to try and reach an agreement with Juve.
Tuttosport cover his future today and say that there is an agreement in place between Rugani and Arsenal but the latter are yet to find a deal with Juventus.
It’s unknown whether Juventus will accept that, although Tuttosport say Fabio Paratici will make a decision today. He’s willing to sell a defender this summer as Juve have five centre backs on their books at this moment in time and that’s considered a ‘luxury’.
Wolves are also known to be interested in the defender, but Arsenal are the ones pushing hardest for his signature, and it appears they’re now waiting on Juventus to give them the green light for a deal.
