Arsenal have been credited with an interest in Lazio star Sergej Milinković-Savić, as per a report in Italy.
The Serbia international has been repeatedly linked to Juventus in the past few weeks, but the Serie A side will now face competition from the Gunners.
According to Corriere della Sera, relayed by Tutto Juve, Arsenal are looking to bring the midfielder to the Emirates in January.
It’s claimed Mikel Arteta’s side are pressing on the 27-year-old and are willing to go ‘all-in’ to acquire his signature in the winter market.
The ex-Genk man has been reluctant to leave Italy, but with Arsenal coming forward, he could ‘consider’ joining them in January, if they were to make an offer.
This news will not please the Turin club, who have been after the player for a while.
Milinković-Savić’s contract at Lazio will run down in 2024 and the report doesn’t mention about the fee Arsenal need to spend to land him in the next window.
He has managed five goals and seven assists from 20 matches in all competitions this season for Lazio, but was unable to help Serbia go through from the group stages of the World Cup in Qatar.
