Inter Milan are joined by Arsenal, West Ham United and several other clubs in the chase for Eintracht Frankfurt’s Filip Kostić.
Operating mainly as a left wing-back this season, the Serbia international has managed three goals and 10 assists in all competitions.
Inter currently have Federico Dimarco and Aleksandar Kolarov in the same position. According to Calciomercato, there is a possibility for the 36-year-old to say goodbye to the Nerazzurri in the winter market.
Simone Inzaghi’s side are looking at Kostić after finding out Everton’s Lucas Digne could be moving towards Aston Villa. The track for the Bundesliga star is ‘concrete’ and there are two reasons why Inter should try to take him in January rather than the summer.
One of them is the ‘competition’ and this is when both the Gunners and David Moyes’ side are tagged.
The Eintracht Frankfurt player recently changed agents and Calciomercato state: ‘Inter had found a principle of understanding for the purchase on a free transfer basis right from the moment of his change of agent…’
It’s claimed Fiorentina, Lazio, Sevilla, Atlético Madrid, Arsenal and West Ham have all set their sights on Kostić. However, they are ‘ready for auction’, when the Serbian will be available on a free transfer and not this month.
Kostić initially joined the German club on loan in 2018 and his stay was made permanent after one season. His current deal runs down in 2023, meaning the likes of Arsenal, West Ham and others who want to take him on a free transfer must wait for 18 months.
