Arsenal are planning to offload Mesut Ozil in the summer transfer window, but reports coming out of the British press suggest the Europa League runners-up are yet to receive an offer for the 30-year-old.
Italian website Calciomercato claim the Gunners offered the playmaker to Serie A clubs like Napoli, Juventus and Inter Milan, but had no luck.
Therefore, Unai Emery’s side are ‘trying to offer’ the former Real Madrid star to clubs in Turkey and this includes sides like Galatasaray, Fenerbahce and İstanbul Başakşehir.
It’s pointed out the operation is not easy because of the overall cost, which is an understatement.
It’s not just the transfer fee of €30m, but his annual salary of €18m makes Ozil hugely costly.
Due to his high wages, Arsenal want to offload him and are willing to pay part of his salary for the next one or two seasons, if any Turkish side are ready to secure his services.
It remains to be seen if any club will come forward to take Ozil this summer, either on loan or a permanent transfer.
