Arsenal ‘want to take advantage’ of Sevilla’s reported interest in Alexandre Lacazette to get striker Youssef En Nesyri.

That’s according to La Razon, who say the Spanish side could make a move in January to get ahead of other interested parties such as Atletico Madrid, Juventus and AC Milan.

Lacazette is out of contract at Arsenal next summer, and there have been no talks about an extension, with it believed the Gunners are happy to let him go.

That has led to speculation about his future as the Frenchman is free to talk to clubs around Europe from January onwards.

Sevilla have been named among the interested parties, and there have even been reports that a swap deal involving Youssef En Nesyri could be on the cards.

La Razon cover the situation today and say the Spanish side could make a move in January in order to ‘get ahead’ of the competition for Lacazette’s signature.

They’re set to lose En Nesyri and Munir for the African Cup of Nations in January, so they will be ‘forced’ to add a new striker in that window.

Lacazette would fit the bill and presumably be available on the cheap given his contract with Arsenal is expiring, and they will want to avoid losing him on a free.

Thus they could work out a deal that suits all parties come January, with Lacazette staying at the Emirates increasingly unlikely.
