Italian outlet Gazzetta Dello Sport today features one more story on the future of Fiorentina star Dusan Vlahovic, who’s expected to be one of the most chased strikers in the upcoming transfer windows.
It’s now claimed that La Viola don’t want to sell the player in January, so unless they got something ‘sensational’, of around €100m, he’s expected to stay at his club at least until the end of the season.
Among those interested in signing the 21-year-old in a near future can be found Arsenal, and Gazzetta have something to say about the Gunners’ pursuit for the striker.
The report claims that even though the London side have a ‘huge budget’ to pay for the fee and have made it available to Fiorentina owner Rocco Commisso, they would still need to work hard on convincing the player to make the move to the Emirates.
It’s said that although ‘Arsenal have tried’, they ‘don’t have the necessary appeal’ to attract Vlahovic, who’s ‘aiming for the highest peaks’ in the transfer market.
Gazzetta also points out that besides the fee, there should be big commissions involved of around between €8m and €10m to sign a deal.
That’s on top of a big salary for the striker, as he already rejected Fiorentina’s offer for between €5m and €6m in yearly wages.
So with the pursuit for Vlahovic being full of obstacles, the Gunners must certainly work on convincing arguments in all fronts to get a deal for the Serie A star, who has scored 17 goals this season already.
