Galatasaray want to sign Arsenal’s out-of-favour right back, Mathieu Debuchy according to Sporx Dış Haberler. The Turkish club will test Arsenal’s resolve with a January bid and it’s understood that Debuchy is keen to join Galatasaray as the former French international wants a new start to his stagnated career.
Sporx also quote English press and say AS Roma is the other club that want Debuchy, but the Italians sees him as a back-up right back to their first choice Bruno Peres.
Debuchy, who spent the second half of last season on loan at Bordeaux, is firmly out of the picture at Arsenal. The Frenchman wanted a chance to play in the absence of Hector Bellerin but manager Wenger decided to play Carl Jenkinson at Old Trafford instead of him.
So this is the reason behind Debuchy’s exit decision, which would fit in perfectly with claims from Tuesday’s edition of French newspaper L’Equipe.
If Galatasaray managed to sign Debuchy it will be the 7th right back that the club has signed in the past 5 years. It’s also understood that Galatasaray’s offer will be a permanent deal and Debuchy told Wenger he wants to go permanently.
