Yet to renew his contract at Milan, Suso is making his current club sweat a bit.

The Spaniard, who has been in good form once again this season, has a €40m release clause in his current deal, which the Serie A side would like to either increase or get rid of altogether.

TuttoMercatoWeb on Tuesday remind everyone that both Arsenal and Tottenham are interested in the playmaker, which doesn’t help Milan’s cause, simply strengthening Suso’s hand in contract negotiations.

As things stand, the Italians aren’t prepared to meet his demands, which stand at €5m/year, a €2m/year increase on his current contract.

In good news for both Arsenal and Tottenham, TuttoMercatoWeb also point out that should an ‘intriguing’ offer reach Milan’s offices, then Suso would be ‘free to leave’.

For Spurs and the Gunners, our guess will be that such a bid would need to match his release clause.

Hardly the highest of fees, but with both Unai Emery and Mauricio Pochettino dealing with bargain hunting boards these days, they might need to be convincing if they want to get their man.
