Dušan Vlahović has been in fine form for Fiorentina this campaign, managing 18 goals and three assists in 22 matches in all competitions. The star’s contract expires in 2023 and he’s decided not to renew with his current employer.
These two factors have seen him linked with top clubs across Europe, with Arsenal said to be the main suitor from England.
Two days ago, Corriere Fiorentino reported the Serie A side have received only one offer for the 21-year-old and that was tabled by the north London club.
Their proposal includes a €50m fee plus Lucas Torreira’s permanent sale to Fiorentina. The Arsenal owned midfielder is currently on loan with La Viola and they retain an option to make his stay permanent.
With the offer from Arsenal already on the table for the Serbia international, journalist Alvise Cagnazzo suggests Mikel Arteta’s side could be the right option for Vlahović.
“Arsenal are one of the right solutions for him, it also depends on his ambitions. Arsenal have the strength and sporting glory to aspire to such a player, but the player’s desire to be important in Serie A transpires,” Cagnazzo told Calciomercato.it’s CMIT TV.
“I hope to see him in a top club. Fiorentina are not, but they have the ambition to become one. Arsenal are a top club, but I think he doesn’t want England.
“There are those who claim there is a promise made with Juventus. I think he has the passion to become the new Batistuta and to do it in Italy.”
