Barcelona star Arda Turan could be leaving this summer, after failing to make an impact at the club, after his move from Atletico Madrid.
The 29-year-old joined Barcelona in a €34m deal during the club’s transfer ban, and reports in the Catalan media claim several clubs are interested in him this summer.
Arsenal have been strongly linked to Turan, but should make an offer of at least €30m to complete a deal for him, claim Spanish daily Sport.
Turan managed just over 800 minutes of football last season, and could be tempted by the chance of playing regularly in the Premier League.
However, it’s not clear yet if Arsenal are genuinely interested in the player. Their closest rivals Chelsea have also been linked to the player in the past.
The Turkish international has another four years left in his contract at Barcelona, and might stay for another season at Barcelona.
Claims of interest from Arsenal and Chelsea were there before the player moved to Barcelona in the first place, and may simply be a hangover from then.
Given that Turan is now nowhere near the level of importance he had at Atletico, Barcelona may be lucky to get €30m for him.
