Other than watching possible rivals of Europa League’s next stages, maybe Arsenal are also interested in a few players who are taking part in the tournament.

That’s what is suggested by Italian website Calcio Mercato, who claims that the Gunners had a scout at the Estádio San Paolo last night, where he watched Napoli losing 3-1 at home to RB Leipzig.

The outlet makes it clear that the representative was there to watch possible targets, and there were quite a few to be seen in that match.

According to Calcio Mercato, Napoli defender Kalidou Koulibaly was the first of them, since he’s still liked by Arsenal. Another player who has the Gunners’ interest is Lorenzo Insigne.

From the away side, the only name mentioned is Timo Werner. The website recalls that the striker, who scored a brace in that game, is also wanted by Spanish side Atletico Madrid.

Those are certainly exciting targets, but it’s a long way to go from Arsenal scouting them to actually making a move.
