Italian website Calciomercato claims Yannick Carrasco is a goal for AC Milan and they have been in contact with the Dalian Yifang’s winger for several days.

However, the deal looks unlikely because Arsenal are also interested in the 25-year-old.

It’s claimed that in the past few hours, the Gunners have ‘tested the ground’ with the Belgium international’s agent regarding the possibility of a transfer, and found a total approval from the player’s camp.

As of now, the solution of making a switch to the Emirates looks like a priority for the former Atletico Madrid man as he wants to be coached by the north London club’s manager, Unai Emery.

Since joining the Chinese Super League side, the attacker is earning €10m per year in wages and the report mentions that Carrasco is ready to take a pay cut in order to help him return to Europe in the winter market.

Manchester United interest is also mentioned, but Arsenal are believed to be leading the race for his signature.
