Red Bull Salzburg star Dominik Szoboszlai has emerged as a transfer target for Arsenal and the Gunners’ interest in the midfielder has been confirmed by his agent.

Last week, multiple reports from AS explained ‘Mikel Arteta likes him a lot’ and the newspaper stated the Austrian club could facilitate the 20-yer-old’s sale, who is also wanted by Real Madrid.

Apart from the north London club and the La Liga winners, RB Leipzig and AC Milan were also mentioned as suitors for the Hungary international.

AS’ claims have been relayed by DIGI Sport as they state the FA Cup winners are one of the interested parties in the Red Bull Salzburg player. The outlet have also managed to gather comments from Szoboszlai’s agent, Mátyás Esterházy.

The representative has revealed his client’s preference is to move to the top five European leagues, but he also discussed ‘transfer strategy’ and detailed their conditions to change clubs.

“Now the trend can be observed that if there is a good match – which is fortunately quite a lot – then the various rumours get much louder,” Esterházy said.

“However, our strategy will not change after one or two such matches. Our faith in our originally developed strategy and vision is much stronger, because these are all feedbacks that show that we are on the right track.

“Whether Dominik will move in January or summer, the most important thing is that he will go to a place where we think he will have a good chance to play and a good chance to continue his development curve he started in Salzburg, because for us this is the most important [factor].

“Obviously, I’m not revealing too much of a secret when I say Dominik is getting closer to getting out of the Austrian championship.”
