Gunes claim Arsenal are keeping tabs on Trabzonspor attacking midfielder Yusuf Yazici, and that the Gunners are eyeing up a summer move for him.
Arsenal’s local rivals Tottenham Hotspur have been linked with the player in recent months.
The Turkish newspaper says Arsene Wenger watched Yazici on television when he scored once and made an assist in the game against Osmanlispor on Monday night.
How they know what Wenger watches on the telly, we have no idea.
According to Gunes, Yazici wants a move to the Premier League in the next transfer window, but Borussia Dortmund and Atletico Madrid are also interested.
At the back end of last year we covered reports from Turkey that Tottenham have been tracking Yazici this season.
The player has been impressive form in the past 12 months, which has brought him to the attention of other clubs.
It was also reported at the time Tottenham were lining up a ‘very serious bid’ for the Turkey international, but no offer came in during the January transfer window.
