Arsenal continue to be named as the main contenders to get Benfica midfielder Andrija Zivkovic this summer.

Today’s story from Record isn’t even a transfer article. They’re just reporting that the player has been included in Serbia’s 27-man list for the World Cup, giving him a big chance of being called up for the tournament.

But as a Portuguese newspaper, they had to give the rumours a mention, and that’s why they say Zivkovic has some market attention in England.

Record claims that Arsenal have been one of the ‘most attentive’ clubs to the 21-year-old, therefore a transfer could mean some great profit for Benfica in the summer window.

Earlier this month, we were able report that Benfica are indeed expecting an offer from Arsenal for Zivkovic, with people close to the player being pretty sure the Gunners will go for him in the summer.

The Serbian international is currently protected by a €60m release clause, and has a contract with the Eagles running until 2021.
