At the start of November, reports in the Italian media stated that Arsenal and Fiorentina had reached an agreement on a fee of around €80m for the transfer of Dušan Vlahović.
However, the striker was not keen to join the Gunners and his agent refused to even hold talks with the Premier League side. That, however, has not stopped the 21-year-old from being linked with a move to the Emirates.
Juventus have been named as the firm Italian contender to sign La Viola’s star, who has 18 goals and three assists in 22 matches this season.
Arsenal are among the candidates ‘for the mugging’, meaning they could snatch the player away from Massimiliano Allegri’s side. The north London club are ‘much more solvent’, finances wise, when compared to Juventus, to carry out an operation for the Serbian’s transfer.
With the player not favouring Arsenal, Mikel Arteta’s side will have a lot of work to do, to convince Vlahović to join them instead of other suitors.
