Arsenal’s potential move for Ajax goalkeeper Diant Ramaj is being closely watched by Eintracht Frankfurt, who could be set to benefit massively from any deal.
That’s according to Fussball.News, who cover the interest from Arsenal today and how it could be set to benefit the German side.
Reports earlier this week from Germany indicated that Ramaj has found himself on the watchlist of several sides in England after impressing at Ajax this season.
A transfer to the Premier League could be on the cards in the summer, with Arsenal one of several sides considering a move to make him their number two and challenge for the starting spot moving forwards.
And the German side would benefit too, with Fussball.News explaining that they have a 15% ‘resale share’ on their former player.
According to their information, this kicks in on transfer over €8m so they provide an example involving the Gunners: if Arsenal were to pay €20m for the goalkeeper, Eintracht would receive 15% of the difference, meaning 15% of €12m, which would be around €1.8m.
That may seem like nothing but added to the €8m they already got for him, and it would mean a total income of €10m from a reserve goalkeeper who they signed for €250,000 in 2021, which is good business by anyone’s calculations.
Of course, it depends on Arsenal or any of the other suitors paying for him first, but the idea is there and Frankfurt are keeping a close eye on how it may play out, as it could mean ‘millions more’ for them depending on how much he is bought for.
