Arsenal and Barcelona have been regularly named as options for Álvaro Morata if Juventus don’t make his stay permanent this summer.
The striker joined the Serie A side on a two-year loan deal from Atlético Madrid and they have an option to buy him for €35m.
Juve are asking for a discount, while Los Rojiblancos are refusing to provide one. As it stands, it’s not clear where the 29-year-old will play next season.
Barcelona showed interest in him in the January window, but were not able to secure the deal. The Catalan club still have the former Chelsea man on their agenda, as an alternative to Robert Lewandowski, according to Mundo Deportivo.
Mundo also mention Arsenal, as the Gunners are the team to have shown ‘most interest’ in the Spain international. However, a move to Mikel Arteta’s side, for now, ‘does not satisfy’ Morata’s aspirations.
If the north London club were to sign the frontman, they will first have to convince him to make a switch to the Emirates.
Mundo end their report by stating: ‘Morata will spend a little more time before making a decision about his future, aware that he is a sought-after footballer and that the market can bring many surprises, including Barca, who still have his name on the table in case they cannot achieve the objective for Lewandowski.’
