Arsenal are looking at Barcelona’s Sergi Roberto for the summer window, according to reports from Spain.

The 30-year-old, who can operate as a right-back or in the middle of the pitch, has less than six months left on his contract.

ARA state the La Liga side have no new meeting scheduled with the Spain international’s camp, leaving the latter to assume that his future could be away from the Camp Nou.

He is now looking for a new club.

Claims made by ARA are relayed by Fichajes.net, who then provide their own information on this case.

It’s claimed the utility player is ‘looking for clubs in the Premier League’ as England seems to be his next destination. The Gunners are among the suitors and are the club to have shown ‘most interest’ in him.

Arsenal have an opportunity to sign Roberto on a free transfer and the report explains he can be a ‘market opportunity’ for the north London club.

Last month, we relayed news from Spain that Mikel Arteta has ‘requested’ Arsenal sign the Spaniard. Fichajes.net have now backed it up by stating the Gunners have shown ‘most interest’ in Roberto.

Without a renewal offer from Barcelona, the Spaniard is all set to leave the Catalan club as a free agent in the summer.
