Arsenal are reportedly set to have a scout at the Copa Libertadores match between Flamengo and Ñublense tonight.
According to Torcedores, the Gunners will have an official keeping an eye on Brazilian youngster Matheus França.
The report claims that Arsenal will be represented by Jonathan Vidallè, who’s an ex-employee of Boca Juniors and now works for the London side watching players in Argentina, Brazil, Chile and Uruguay.
Matheus França is only 19, but is already a regular starter at Flamengo, with 18 appearances in the 2023 season. Arsenal are not the only Premier League club keen on him, with Torcedores claiming that the likes of Crystal Palace, Liverpool and Newcastle are all keeping an eye on his potential as well.
It also turns out that França isn’t the only player in Rio de Janeiro who Arsenal are watching. Torcedores says the Gunners’ scout is also monitoring Fluminense’s John Kennedy and Vasco da Gama’s Eguinaldo.
