Arsenal will send a scout for the Serie A match between AS Roma and Lecce on Sunday, according to reports from the Italian press.

Website Calcio Mercato says the Gunners have a specific target to be watched, which is Giallorossi midfielder Bryan Cristante.

The outlet claims the 24-year-old’s characteristics are considered to fit the style of the Premier League, making him a reasonable target for the English side.

That’s all Calcio Mercato seems to know by now, with no other information on ongoing talks or even how much Cristante may be worth in the next transfer window.

Cristante was signed by Roma on a loan deal from Atalanta in the summer of 2018, for which the club paid €5m. The permanent move was made official in 2019, this time for another €21m.

The midfielder had been heavily linked to Premier League sides, including Arsenal, between 2017 and 2018. Those rumours went quiet a while ago.
