Arsenal are ‘ready to offer’ Arthur a loan move this month as he eyes regular football away from Juventus.

That’s according to Tuttosport, who say the Brazilian wants to regain his place in the Brazilian national team ahead of the World Cup in the winter.

They explain that Arthur is currently the fifth choice in Maximiliano Allegri’s midfielder, which is an issue for the player and the club, given he earns €5m net per year.

Arthur wants to regain a ‘prominent place’ in the Selecao ahead of the World Cup in Qatar, and his agent Federico Pastorello ‘has moved’ to find him a club that can offer just that. Arsenal are ‘ready to offer it to him’ and take him on loan.

Juventus know that a definitive sale is impossible given the impact on the budget and so are willing to loan him out to simply get him off of the payroll.

Their hope is that the player can be ‘re-evaluated’ so that they can sell him in the future should he perform well.

For everything to fit, though, they need to find a replacement and have their eye on Borussia Monchengladbach’s Denis Zakaria, who they’ve been following for a while.

He can leave the German club this month as his contract is expiring in the summer, and they would prefer to sell for something than lose him on a free.

Juventus are ready to move and ‘take advantage’ of that, which could free up Arthur to move to Arsenal on loan.
