Barcelona won’t have a huge transfer budget this summer, and it’s clear the Catalan club need to sell a few players to make room in their squad for arrivals.
Like many clubs they’re looking for free and bargain deals ahead of the market, and Sport say one of those is Layvin Kurzawa.
The fullback’s contract with PSG expires in the summer and he’s been repeatedly linked with a move to Arsenal in recent months. There’s been claims of talks with the Gunners, and even of an agreement being set up already.
It’s stated Mikel Arteta’s club are ‘ready to fight’ to get their man, and are willing to present an attractive offer to lure Kurzawa to them.
Being a Catalan newspaper, it’s no surprise that Sport state Kurzawa would prefer to sign for Barcelona, with the insinuation he’d accept less money to do so.
Still, Arsenal are seen as a tough club to beat in this transfer chase, and a renewal at PSG isn’t ruled out either.
