Back in mid-February, we covered a story from Germany claiming that Arsenal were very interested in Jesper Lindstrøm.

The Danish midfielder currently plays for Eintracht Frankfurt and has often been linked with the Gunners, dating as far back as September of last year.

This continues to this day, with Sport 1 journalist Patrick Berger taking to Twitter to reveal the latest news on the situation involving Arsenal and Lindstrøm.

He claims that Mikel Arteta’s side are ‘among the English clubs pushing’ to sign the Eintracht star, and the Bundesliga club are ‘already preparing’ for the 23-year-old’s departure.

As far as the price tag goes, it’s relatively affordable for Premier League teams, and Arsenal would have to pay around €30m to get their man.

They aren’t the only ones, though, as there are ‘three other UK clubs’ in the race to sign Lindstrøm, who has scored nine goals and provided four assists in all competitions in 31 appearances, but is currently out for around a month with an ankle injury.

The Denmark international can play either behind the striker or from the left, and would therefore provide Arteta with some more versatility up front as Arsenal prepare for Champions League football next season.
