The Hector Herrera saga at Porto continues, as the player doesn’t seem very keen on staying at the club for much longer.

Newspaper Correio da Manhã has a story today saying the Mexican international has already rejected three renewal offers from the Dragons.

Herrera would be demanding a salary of €3m after tax per season, and if Porto don’t offer that, he’s set to sign a pre-contract with some other club after January, as his current deal expires next summer.

There’s a big list of clubs who have been linked to Herrera in the past few months. This time, Correio da Manhã names Arsenal, Barcelona, Real Madrid and Roma as the main competitors.

From all the rumours we’ve read, Arsenal and Tottenham have been the two Premier League sides who have been most linked to Herrera this year, although every story about him still sounds a bit like smoke. Mostly because this end of contract situation always attracts nonsense stories, making the situation bigger than it actually is.

Meanwhile in Italy, it’s really believed that Roma are interested, as they’ve already tried to sign him in the last summer, but failed to agree a transfer fee with Porto.
