Arsenal are eyeing a move for Valencia’s Cristhian Mosquera in the summer window.

That’s according to Cadena Ser, who report Arsenal meet all requirements set by the 20-year-old to decide his next club.

The centre-back is looking for a Champions League club competing for trophies where he can also continue his development.

His contract expires in 2026 and he isn’t ready to leave as a free agent. The defender wants interested clubs to negotiate with Valencia, and this is another condition he has conveyed to all his suitors. He wants the club to benefit financially and collect €20m with bonuses from his sale.

The Spain U21 international has refused to sign an extension, meaning the upcoming window will be Valencia’s last chance to earn a decent fee.

Cadena Ser’s title says Arsenal are ‘preparing an offer’ for the young defender, but there’s no mention of the fee they are willing to propose. New Gunners sporting director Andrea Berta could have identified the Spaniard as the target.

It’s claimed Mikel Arteta’s side are ‘confident of being able to negotiate’ with Valencia for his transfer.
Arsenal aren’t alone as Atlético Madrid and Villarreal are also in the picture. The La Liga duo first have to raise funds before making an approach for Mosquera. The north London don’t have this constraint, giving them a clear advantage in the transfer race.
In the coming days, the player’s agent will meet Valencia to official convey interest in his client and to negotiate his transfer with the club of his choice. It could be Arsenal, but Cadena Ser haven’t categorically specified it.
