Four days ago, we covered a report from Sport that claimed Chelsea and Arsenal are ‘willing to close’ Denis Suarez’s signing and Barcelona could receive offers in the coming days.
The 25-year-old has already played under the Gunners manager Unai Emery when the two were at Sevilla and the latter praised the player when asked about him following the north London club’s FA Cup victory over the weekend.
Due to limited playing time under Ernesto Valverde’s guidance, the former Villarreal man is said to be determined to leave Camp Nou in search of minutes, according to Monday’s edition of Sport.
The Catalan newspaper mentions that Arsenal are in ‘pole position’ to sign the player in the winter market.
In addition to this, the player has approval from the ex-Paris Saint Germain manager to complete a switch to the Emirates. 
On Sunday the same newspaper said Arsenal is now the ‘only possibility’ for a January transfer, but they also said the club ‘cannot invest’ in a full transfer this month so a loan could be an option.
Barcelona would want a compulsory buying clause and it wasn’t clear what the Gunners thought about this. Again, this all seems to be coming from the player’s insinuated, by the Spanish media, desire to join Emery’s side.
