AC Milan’s midfield is the subject of a story from Italian newspaper Tuttosport today, who talk about the possible arrivals and departures from the club in January.
And it turns out that two of the players mentioned in the article belong to Arsenal: Lucas Torreira and Granit Xhaka.
Starting with the Uruguayan, Tuttosport says he’s been having a ‘crisis’ with the Gunners, and that’s convinced his agent to fly to London to sort out his future.
Milan have been interested in Torreira for a long time now, and the chase ‘could be back’ in January, depending on the club’s departures.
Regarding Xhaka, Tuttosport actually tries to calm things down. Since his controversy with the Gunners, lots of rumours have appeared, and the Italian media isn’t really buying all of them.
Claims from Switzerland had said the midfielder was house-hunting in Milan, and Tuttosport says that at AC Milan, they believe this was all games from the Swiss media when covering the stories about his departure, fed by Unai Emery’s uncertainty about the player’s stay at Arsenal.
The newspaper doesn’t rule out a transfer, saying his exit from the Gunners is possible, but they don’t report strong moves from Milan for the signing either.
