Earlier on Monday, we covered the latest from Italy regarding the potential transfer of Lucas Torreira from Arsenal to Fiorentina.
Two sources were in agreement that a deal was close to being struck, meaning the Uruguayan would spend the season in Florence, and maybe even stay beyond that.
That’s because the whole operation was based around a loan with the right of redemption, which is what the two sides were working on, and an agreement was near being found.
Well, the latest from Uruguay is very similar, as journalist Sebas Giovanelli has given the transfer an even more precise timeframe.

According to him on Twitter, the deal ‘could be closed on Tuesday’.
There are no more details, but we’re sure they’ll come at a later doubt.
For now, however, it appears that Torreira, after being sought after by Fiorentina for the past two years or so, will finally get to return to Italy and enjoy football in a league where he previously thrived at Sampdoria.
