Hector Bellerin’s agent is in London today for a meeting with Arsenal to try and convince them to accept a loan deal for the Spaniard.
That’s according to Calciomercato, who cover Inter Milan’s efforts to sign the full-back this summer.
As you’re probably aware by now, Inter are in need of a new right-back after selling Achraf Hakimi to PSG, and Bellerin is one of the players on their list.
He’s looking to leave Arsenal this summer, and they’re willing to let him go, so long as they receive a fee that is acceptable.
That is something Inter Milan cannot offer at this moment in time, with the finances at the club dictating that they do loan deals rather than permanent ones.
That’s where CM pick up the thread today, explaining that while Denzel Dumfries is the favourite at the club, PSV Eindhoven aren’t interested in a loan deal.
Thus, the option of Bellerin remains, and his agent is travelling to London today with Arsenal to ‘try to convince’ to ‘accept any offer’ of a loan with a right to buy tagged onto it.
They say that Bellerin has already informed Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta that he wants to leave and Inter are a ‘very welcome option’ as far as he’s concerned. Indeed, he prefers them to Atlético Madrid or Villarreal.
A ‘turning point’ is expected in the next 24 hours, with his agent set to find out if Arsenal will soften their position towards a loan deal.
If they will, then the Nerazurri’s priorities could change and lead them to focusing on Bellerin ahead of their other options.
