Arsenal goalkeeper Bernd Leno has a deal to move to Fulham, according to claims from the German media.
Sky Deutschland journalist Florian Plettenberg writes that the player has a verbal agreement for a contract until 2025, plus an option for a further year.
Arsenal and Fulham, however, are yet to find an agreement over the transfer fee. The report claims the Gunners demand between £10m and £11m to let Leno go this summer.
The goalkeeper and the Cottagers both seem excited about the possibility. It’s said he’s the ‘desired number one’ for the West London side, while ‘he wants to join’ them this summer as well.
Bernd Leno only managed to make eight appearances for Arsenal last season. He was in the line-up for the Premier Leagues’ first three games and then could hardly have a chance to fight against Aaron Ramsdale for a place.
Fulham, meanwhile, mostly used Marek Rodak, with Paulo Gazzaniga also getting a few chances. But it seems they now want a new name for their new challenge in the top flight.
