Besides all the complicated situation Arsenal loanee Pablo Mari has been going through since being stabbed last week, it turns out the defender is also getting involved in weird transfer rumours.

The 29-year-old is currently having a spell at Monza which, depending on their stay in Serie A, may become a permanent transfer at the end of the season.

Still, he continues to be linked to Brazilian clubs, as last week, it was reported that Atlético Mineiro, Cruzeiro, Fluminense and Grêmio are all interested in the Arsenal player.

Now there’s a little more information on this chase from the Porto Alegre side.

Journalist Farid Germano Filho writes that Mari was actually ‘offered’ to Grêmio, and asks his readers if the defender would be a good signing for the Tricolor.

That’s a strange situation, because Monza are currently 15h on the league table, and by avoiding relegation, they would automatically buy the player from Arsenal.

In case he’s really being offered around, maybe that’s because he doesn’t want to stay in Italy or the club do not want to keep him, although that still sounds like a strange timing for that kind of move.
