There’s often Premier League involvement, especially for the second title, and this week again sees a footballer in England under the spotlight.
Step forward, Mr Granit Xhaka.
SportBild explains Arsenal fans have become so fed up with the midfielder, due to his ‘weak performances’ that they were pleased to see him taken off against Aston Villa at the weekend.
The Gunners were losing 2-1 against the newly promoted side when Unai Emery decided to take Xhaka off on 72 minutes. SportBild say the Switzerland international was ‘whistled’ by his own fans and that his replacement, Joe Willock, was subsequently cheered.
That’s why he’s the ‘Loser’.There’s probably some satisfaction, given Xhaka left Borussia Monchengladbach for the brighter lights of the Premier League, and, should he find out, it’s likely the 26 year old will feel a little added bruising to his ego.
