Deportivo de La Coruña are set to sign Arsenal’s Charlie Patino in this summer window.
That’s according to Monday’s edition of AS, which reports the midfielder will become a new Deportivo player in the ‘next few hours’.
The Segunda División side have reached an agreement with Arsenal for €1m. The 20-year-old has already arrived in A Coruña on Sunday and will carry out formalities later today.
Online, AS provides a few more details on negotiations between the Spanish club and the Gunners.
The two clubs have been trying to find an agreement over the past few days. They were only a few details that had to be ironed out, mainly on the ‘future options’.
This indicates Arsenal want to have a percentage of a future sale, if the 20-year-old were to showcase his potential and get a move elsewhere.
The report adds Patino will undergo medical tests and sign a contract with his new club later today.
Deportivo manager Imanol Idiakez will have a training session at 10:30am [local time] today. It’s likely that Patino will start training with his new teammates on Tuesday.
