Spanish newspaper Sport have a small article in their Thursday edition titled ‘Lucas has an offer from Arsenal’.
Sport have picked up the claims from Spain’s Ok Diario and say Unai Emery’s club are willing to pay Lucas Vazquez ‘almost three times’ what he currently earns at Real Madrid.
The Spanish international is paid €3m a year by the Champions League winners, and it’s stated Arsenal have made it known they’ll be happy to take this up to €8m.
Whilst it’s an offer which would be ‘difficult’ for Vazquez to say no to, it’s claimed Real Madrid have no intention of selling their player.
Ok Diario certainly aren’t one of the more reliable Spanish rumour pushers, but they state they got the information from El Chiringuito. Unfortunately, they would be in the same boat.To complete the transfer rumour axis of evil, Don Balon reported a similar claim a few days ago.
This one is very unlikely.
